You know the walk. Up and down the aisle, back to the beginning, staring at a wall of cards and hoping one will jump out at you. Everything is either painfully generic or so gushing you'd cringe writing your name under it. Ten minutes go by. Then twenty.
Eventually you pick one up and think, this'll do. Then you open it. And the words inside are just… wrong. Not wrong in a small way, wrong in the way that makes the whole thing feel like it came from someone else. Because it did.
That's why we started TakeNote.
Our cards are always blank inside. We don't tell you this is a birthday card, or a sorry card, or a thinking-of-you card. You decide that. In your own words, in your own handwriting.
Because the person opening it doesn't want a verse written by a stranger. They want to hear from you, even if what you've got is four words and a bad joke. Especially then.
TakeNote cards are not for everyone, and we're at peace with that. We'd rather design cards that a few people genuinely love than hundreds that nobody feels strongly about either way. Our intention is to help you send someone a card that makes them smile before they've opened it.
